A woman has been charged with murder following the death of her five-month-old daughter in Leeds.
Hayley Macfarlane, 39, of Barnsley, is set to appear in court today following the death of her daughter Evelyn. It follows an incident at Woodhouse Moor Park on Wednesday 20 December.
Police were called to reports of a baby in a serious condition at the park at about 4.45pm.
The five-month-old girl was taken to hospital by ambulance for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The child’s mother is set to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court today, West Yorkshire Police said.
